Insurance FAQs
Can the ResMed Shop bill my insurance company?
Products purchased through the ResMed Shop website are offered on a cash pay basis only. Expedite LLC, the operator of the ResMed Shop, does not accept insurance reimbursement.
Will my insurance company reimburse my order?
While many private insurance providers may reimburse the out-of-pocket costs for PAP equipment, it’s important to note products purchased through the ResMed Shop website are not eligible for reimbursement.
Do you accept either Medicare or Medicaid?
No, we do not. Medicare and Medicaid will pay for medical equipment and supplies only if a supplier has a Medicare or Medicaid supplier number. Expedite, LLC, the operator of the ResMed Shop website, does not have a Medicare or Medicaid supplier number. Medicare or Medicaid will not pay for any medical equipment and supplies purchased on the ResMed Shop website. You will be personally and fully responsible for payment.
Can I use FSA or HSA funds to purchase from the ResMed Shop?
ResMed Shop does accept HSA or FSA payment cards, but does not warrant that any products purchased on the ResMed Shop will qualify for reimbursement by your HSA or FSA provider.
The IRS designates some medical, dental, vision, and prescription expenses as Qualified Medical Expenses (QMEs). It’s recommended you verify medical equipment is designated as a QME by the IRS before purchasing any items with your HSA or FSA account. Visit the IRS website for more information. It is your responsibility to verify that the item you are purchasing is a designated QME.
How can I get a PAP device without Insurance?
PAP therapy equipment such as machines, masks and supplies can be purchased for cash without using your insurance. Certain equipment including machines, masks, and certain supplies does require a valid prescription before the ResMed Shop can ship them to you.
